Leaders from across the state will come together to connect, collaborate, and explore how we can better align education with Mississippi’s evolving workforce needs.
Through shared ideas and collective action, the convening will focus on strengthening the connection between education and employment, increasing postsecondary attainment, and building a stronger talent pipeline that expands opportunity and supports Mississippi’s economic growth.
The Ascent to 55% initiative provides Mississippians with resources to find jobs more easily and to prepare themselves for better jobs. With a goal of increasing the post-secondary education attainment level of Mississippi's working-age adults to 55% by 2030, we’ll need everyone’s buy-in and advocacy to succeed.
Mississippi’s future depends on a workforce that’s ready for tomorrow—and that starts with stronger pathways to degrees and credentials for our citizens.
